Embracing not being perfect and vulnerable as f***

A couple of days ago, I got a DM from a person who took minutes from their life just to comment on my appearance and body image.

It hit a nerve,
and for days I didn’t want to film myself wearing any clothing,
which is not okay beacuse my small business is all about me
filming myself wearing the items I sell and I really really LOVE IT!

I let that comment impact me beacuse it reflected my insecurities and that made me think how every time we put on our clothes, we put the relationship we have with our bodies to the test.

Do we let this piece of clothing reflect our “flaws” and our “insecurities”?
Or are we going to let this empower us and make us feel like the strong, beautiful, imperfect women that we all are?

I feel that it doesn’t matter if you have a skinner or fuller body type or if you are taller or shorter, all of us in some way have experienced someone else commenting on our bodies.

And it’s not OKAY!!!

It’s not okay that we feel this way about ourselves!
people can comment whatever they want,
it’s only what you feel to be true about yourself that makes you feel upset!

So I’m here to tell you,
that you are beautiful as you are,
that you owe it to yourself,
to accept and love yourself exactly as you are.

that you don’t need to gain/lose weight to be beautiful
to be taller/shorter
to change your hips or thighs

no one is perfect,
and guess what we never meant to be perfect,
we are human.

Self-love and acceptance start with you.
you are so worth it,

with endless love,
Elian
