The One That Got Away: A Thrifting Mistake I Won’t Forget

I don’t usually thrift in person anymore, but while visiting family in Boulder, I popped into a local thrift store—just for fun.

It was one of those shops with chaotic racks and outdated everything. The kind of place where unique clothing finds are… rare. The closest thing to a brand name? Zara. But then—I saw it.

A real designer piece.
A vintage Givenchy blazer.
And it was actually cute.

But I got in my head.
Is this too much? Too structured? Too vintage?
The store’s vibe threw me off, and instead of trusting my gut—I walked away.

And then I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Days passed. I finally went back.
It was gone. 😭

That’s the truth about secondhand designer fashion—there’s only one of everything. When it’s gone, it’s gone. That blazer was a missed chance at timeless fashion, and honestly? It still haunts me.

But it also reminded me why I do what I do. Curating those exclusive collections so you don’t have to dig through chaos. Helping you make the call when you’re unsure. Because you're not shopping alone here.

If you’ve ever been unsure, or had a piece slip away… I get it.
Let’s trust our instincts, find pieces with stories, and keep building that curated style we love.

With love,
Elian
